What you will do:

The Technical Director is responsible for setting up and running automation during newscasts. 

• Occasionally direct studio and control room operations during newscasts.
• Operate automation through Ross Overdrive Automation.
• Create boxes and effects, import animations.
• Stage manage and operate overdrive when needed.
• Monitor and adjust cameras during newscasts.
• Edit promos with non-linear editing software.

What you will bring:

• Education- High School Diploma required. College Degree in Television Production or related field is desirable.
• Experience - Some technical directing and editing newscast experience preferred.  
• Must be a self-starter with proven leadership skills: strong communications skills and be able to collaborate effectively with other departments. 
• Strong understanding of digital video/audio applications.
• Microsoft Office & File-based workflows.
• Knowledge/experience with non-linear editing.
