Position Summary

The Sales Support Analyst supports the Sales Department by reviewing the request for proposal from the sales team to evaluate the product and service costs and retail pricing to ensure the business will be profitable for the company and competitive in the marketplace. The Sales Support Analyst reviews the documentation received on the final contract for completeness before executing the order. The Sales Support Analyst is responsible for coordinating all facets of the contract implementation with all departments through constant and accurate dissemination of information.

The Sales Support Analyst reports directly to the Manager, Sales Operations.

Essential Functions

  • The Sales Support Analyst is accountable for:
  • Qualifying large complex/multi-product opportunities brought by sales team members and Agents as a viable sale;
  • Analyzing request for proposals and objectively determine if this is a good fit for Telesystem;
  • Working with sales personnel, engineering team and external partners to create proposals for sales opportunities;
  • Applying critical thinking when looking at opportunities and make a decision based on the customer(s) needs to provide the appropriate custom Telesystem solution;
  • Collaborating with multi-departments to ensure timeliness of quotes and orders regarding any other necessary requirements are gathered to submit an accurate proposal to customer/sales person/external agent.
  • Organizing and presenting data in a way that is both easy for the customer to understand and visually appealing;
  • Gathering and analyzing data of potential solutions to qualify a decision to ensure they meet financial requirements set by management and are competitive in the marketplace;
  • Negotiating with external carriers to effectively communicate pricing concessions required to ensure competitive market pricing;
  • Tracking sales opportunities to ensure any additional requirements or potential stop gaps within carriers or footprint are satisfied;
  • Managing ICB process for special pricing requests or technical request outside of standard product catalog;
  • Generating and processing contracts for sold opportunities making sure implementation team has everything they need in a timely manner to provision the sold services and products;
  • Training agents and employees on quoting and CRM systems;
  • Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times;
  • Processing sales orders and related forms upon receipt in a timely fashion to deliver service and increase the time to revenue for services requested.
  • Reviewing documents submitted for accuracy and consistency with contract terms prior to processing sales order. (Quotes, Contracts, etc.)
  • Tracking all sales orders through the process to ensure that no orders are missed, timely processing and to facilitate generation of metrics.
  • Performing any miscellaneous department duties as needed.

 

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent - required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, - required
  • 2-4 year experience working with a professional sales team in the following areas -required:
    • experience with data analysis and mining
    • creating quote proposals
    • negotiation with vendors/carriers
  • Exceptional interpersonal and external communications both orally and written – required.
  • Strong organizational and operational planning skills in a sales focused environment – preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with a CRM software; navigation of systems - preferred
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry - preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • The Sales Support Analyst is a salaried, exempt position. The regular work hours are 40 hours, Monday – Friday. These hours may vary to accommodate the needs of the company.
  • The Sales Support Analyst will be subject to periodic records checks and drug checks and will be required to give written approval upon request.
