WDRB Media is looking for a Director/Technical Director to join our Production team.

Position Summary
The Director is primarily responsible for overseeing studio and control room operations during newscasts.
What you will do:
- Work with producers to prepare and stage manage the newscast using INews and Ross Overdrive automation system.
- Monitor and adjust audio during live newscasts.
- Adjust PTZ cameras as needed before and during newscasts.
- Edit promos with non-linear editing software.
- Occasionally spend time in the Technical Directors chair running automation control.
What you will bring:
Education - High School Diploma required; College degree in broadcasting, communications, or related field is preferred.
Experience – Some directing and editing experience is preferred.
Competencies -
- A willingness to drive and learn in an ever-changing field.
- Available nights and weekends.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office & File-based workflows
- Knowledge of Adobe products with basic editing skills.
- Strong knowledge/understanding of digital video/audio applications.
- Knowledge/experience with non-linear editing.
- Knowledge of Windows based media applications is preferred.
