WDRB is searching for a Master Control Operator.
This position is responsible for keeping our stations on the air and running smoothly across multiple networks. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. We need a multi-tasker who can adapt quickly, support the team, and bring a positive attitude to every shift. Our Operations Department runs 24/7, so flexibility is key. At WDRB, no egos or attitudes allowed—just people who care about doing the job right and helping the team succeed.
What you will do:

Switch all on-air programming in accordance with the official station log

Operate Windows-based video servers and playout systems

Manage various video record/playout formats for live and recorded content

Complete FCC and station log reports accurately and on time

Support additional operational tasks depending on assigned shift

Work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule
What you will bring:

Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications

Experience with digital video/audio applications a plus

Previous broadcast experience preferred

Strong attention to detail with the ability to remain focused in high-pressure situations

Must have a positive, can-do attitude and work well as part of a team
Education, Experience, & Skills:

High school diploma required
-
College degree (or progress toward a degree) in broadcast, media, or related field preferred

Prior experience in a broadcast operations environment is a plus
