JOB TITLE: Converter Representative
DIVISION: Technical Operations

JOB SUMMARY
Converter Representative is responsible for the processing and issuing of equipment for field installations. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the candidate is required to become a member of the bargaining unit. Reports to Manager, Converter Control/Warehouse; there are no direct reports to this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Preparing and issuing equipment for field installation.
- Using personal computer to assign equipment to appropriate personnel or location.
- Processing inventory control sheets.
- Performing cosmetic repairs to equipment.
- Maintaining adequate supplies of equipment ready for issue to field.
- Logging, recording and shipping damaged equipment.
- Troubleshooting of equipment to determine defect.
- Verification of installed, exchanged and returned equipment from installers, sub-contractors, service technicians and office locations.
- Upholding all Union contractual provisions agreed to in the Labor Agreement.
- Performing any miscellaneous department duties as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma/equivalent – required
- Ability to read, write and speak English - required
- Personal Computer skills – preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), use of hands and fingers (grasp, hold, pick-up, rotate, keyboarding, etc.).
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Converter Representative is a full-time union position.
- Converter Representative regularly works 40 hours per week in an assigned shift. Department hours are Monday – Saturday, 7 am – 6 pm. Hours may vary to accommodate the needs of the department. Overtime is required and must be approved in advance by the supervisor.
- Converter Representative works in an automated business office environment with business office equipment including telephones, personal computers, copy machines, and FAX equipment.
- Converter Representative is required to drive on the job as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks. He/she must maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record the meets Company standards for an insurable driver at all times. Any time these conditions are not met, he/she must not drive on the job and must immediately report it to their supervisor.
