DESCRIPTION: Live Broadcast, Studio and Promotion Production Assistants
JOB SUMMARY:
· A BCSN Intern is responsible for assisting in the daily development of local sports broadcast, digital and social media content. Internship assignments could include, but are not limited to, working as a member of the live broadcast crew, the studio production team or producing assigned video, digital and social media elements, highlight packages and interviews. Other opportunities may include assisting with the various BCSN programming, community and promotional event functions. Primary internship duties require the intern to work independently using creativity and/or originality to contribute to complete tasks.
· BCSN Interns are mentored by BCSN Operations Supervisors as well as their academic sponsor. While in the studio, at production events or community functions the activities of the intern will be directed by the BCSN event Director.
· BCSN interns will work with the BCSN crew with a positive attitude and strong work ethic to complete tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
BCSN Internship opportunities include:
· Live Broadcast Production Assistant focuses on mobile broadcast set-up and tear-down as well as event camera, audio, replay, statistics and social media support.
· Daily Studio Production Assistant focuses on the writing, editing and voice tracking of local sports highlight packages and interviews. Duties include studio camera and audio assistance, show graphics development as well as digital and social media support.
· Administrative, Programming and Promotions Production Assistant works with the Programming and Creative Services to produce and executive the various BCSN programming and promotional events.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent – required
· Currently matriculating in a 2 or 4 year college program with a Television Broadcasting, Video, Digital, Social Media or Communications related major.
· Graduation requirement includes a professional internship with a 20, 40 or 100 hour assignment based on degree program.
· Intern is academically eligible and will complete all academic assignments throughout the internship.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Walking, kneeling, standing, lifting (up to 25 pounds regularly), assembling scaffolding, stooping, climbing (stairs/scaffolding), sitting, driving, seeing (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), hearing, talking, using hands and fingers to grasp, hold, pick-up, use keyboard, drive, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
A BCSN Internship is a 20, 40 or 100 hour assignment based on college program requirements.
A. A BCSN Intern is required to be available as the internship duties and responsibilities require.
B. Each BCSN Intern will report to their assigned BCSN office or event location.
C. A BCSN Intern is responsible for handling and using the Company’s equipment in an efficient and professional manner.
D. A BCSN intern is required to travel to production assignments as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks. At all times, he/she must maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets Company standards for an insurable driver. Each BCSN intern is subject to periodic MVR checks, and will be required to give written approval upon request.
